When I joined MCC I had the opportunity to lead special projects while supporting the executive team, exposing me to operations in a large, public, institution. While at MCC I had the opportunity to manage large future-forward planning projects that have set the foundation for construction projects through 2020. Beginning in 2014 I also managed Community Engagement that included Service Learning. Since then, my responsibilities have grown to shepherding new ideas for capital projects, such as the Sarpy County Campus, from idea to implementation. I also manage the Community Engagement staff which is responsible for our AmeriCorps Program, Community Based Learning (Service Learning), and Volunteer Services.

I worked as a Researcher for the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, in the Economic Development Department. We handled business recruitment, retention and expansion in Omaha. The primary focus of my research is company, economic and labor data. I also managed Access databases containing data.Because of my background in planning, I have a specialization on community development issues. I helped in overseeing the study phase of the North Omaha Development Project. Implelmentation began in October 2007 under a new director, and I remain involved as the staff person assigned to the Housing Committee.

I began my career as an intern with Baker and moved into land development. I assisted in every aspect of development from market analysis, land planning and zoning to the creation of statistical models including a fiscal impact analysis. I also learned how to develop properties in a primarily urban environment and think creatively about how to make the bottom line work while preserving integrity of design.
