Shannon Travis is the EMMY-winning Founder and CEO of Higher Glyphs Content Group, the Washington D.C.-based firm specializing in Marketing, Strategic Communications, Brand Management, Content Creation and Corporate Solutions.As Chief Executive, he is responsible for meeting revised revenue targets and overall budget management; expanding the company’s client base; reducing customer acquisition costs; finding and managing resources and talent; and maintaining the company’s high visibility by serving as chief spokesman. Among his responsibilities as Chief Creative Officer are creating and managing original content; safeguarding clients' brand identity and corporate reputation; leading brand equity building campaigns; overseeing the creative vision for individual client brands; and devising and executing creative and media campaigns that ultimately attract and engage desired audiences.Travis relies on 20+ years of experience to also make deals toward strategic partnerships and to brainstorm new products, services and customized solutions.Higher Glyphs (HG) clients come from sports, entertainment, music, finance, private corporations, nonprofits, government and professional staffing organizations, among others. Under Travis’ direction, Higher Glyphs led a rebranding campaign for AARP’s employee resource groups that serve its 10,000+ employees, worldwide. The company also manages multiple strategic initiatives for the Government of the District of Columbia, including for the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Greater Economic Opportunity, DC Health and the Department of Parks and Recreation.Another ongoing project is a $10-million+ charter school expansion funded by Walmart’s philanthropy - The Walton Family Foundation. The project recipient is Friendship Public Charter School, a national CMO educating 5,000+ students. For their national expansion, Higher Glyphs consults on regulatory approval and community outreach and has lead the organization's recruitment, brand management and communications campaigns for three years.In Summer 2019, Travis was named an ISGAP Fellow/Scholar in Residence studying global antisemitism at Oxford University in the United Kingdom. In April 2018 he was named a Top Entrepreneur to Watch in the U.S. by Entrepreneur Magazine. He's also been an invited speaker at Harvard University, Georgetown University’s Law Center, Temple University & Missouri Southern State University.
