Akron Women in Tech strives to increase the number of women in technical fields so that project teams can be more balanced, thus creating products and services that appeal to the world. As technology chair I am responsible for research, selection, and training of technology needed for day to day operations. I participate in planning for the biennial Ohio Celebration for Women in Computing.I manage a team that is developing the system to manage all community artifacts. This system is implemented as a WordPress plugin and will be distributed to other ACM-W regional celebrations that decide to implement communities to support participants post celebration.As community clubs ring leader I maintain a database of clubs in Ohio that serves the goals of women in computing.

I support Kent State University by developing reports and data marts in a Microsoft Business Intelligence environment using Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server, Integration Services (SSIS), Power BI, and Tableau. I work with stakeholders to determine reporting requirements and build the data model to suit their needs. I assist power users and analysts in creating Tableau workbooks and Power BI analyses to answer their questions. I evaluate new software and services to aid in fundraising efforts and integrate the data from these systems to our data warehouse.

As a member of the Middleware and Data Integration Team, I worked with Oracle Enterprise software. I designed and wrote code in Java and JavaScript for Oracle BPM applications running on Weblogic Server. This role required me to work closely with The University of Akron faculty and staff in resolving system issues and planning new software enhancements. I was also the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) administrator for the Data Warehouse project. I managed user access, Extract - Translation - Load (ETL), built data models in RPD repositories, developed reports in OBIEE Analytics and supported other report developers.

I was lead developer for Accelerated Analytics, a retail sales reporting SaaS application. This was an Ext JS and C# .Net portal interfacing to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) API . I also built custom components for SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and reports in SSRS. I was responsible for IIS and Windows server administration. I was part of a small team that developed a system to manage Goodyear Racing's Tire Leasing Program for Nascar. The technology stack featured Ext JS, C# .Net, Castle MonoRail MVC framework for .NET, and Active Record ORM.I performed network and server administration, managing a VMware Virtual Environment of 6 host servers with an Equallogic SAN. Other network administration included a managed Cisco WLAN with a wireless bridge and wireless workgroups, network switches, Windows and Linux physical servers and PC’s
