About Shannon Pierce
Shannon has over 17 years of experience designing structures for projects of all sizes, including residential, commercial, industrial, education, and historic preservation. He has extensive knowledge of code requirements for the design of hot-rolled steel, cold formed steel, steel joists and deck, cast-in-place concrete (topping, slabs, walls, columns, beams, foundations, retaining walls, etc.), precast concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry, brick, timber, and aluminum.In 2016, Shannon brought his talents to Pie Consulting and Engineering in the role of Project Manager. A large part of his current role is to provide consulting services for forensic engineering claims, appraisals, structural assessments, condition assessments, fire damage assessments, water damage assessments, structural and non-structural repair assessments, building rehabilitation, and structural feasibility studies. He enjoys the challenging part of determining why a failure has occurred, what we can do to prevent it from happening again, and what repairs are needed to correct the problem.
