My passion is to become a teacher because I think that I can make a difference in the way little children learn. I also want to share Black History with people all over and not just during Black History Month. Everyone views me as a happy person who always laughs and smiles. This can be a great aspect in classrooms because children are scared to leave home and be with people they don't know or they may think that school is boring but I want to help them realize it can be fun to learn. I have a little brother and we are 13 years apart. He was scared to go to school. After all, he didn't know anyone but his family because he was born a few months before the COVID lockdown. I realized that learning wasn't something he wanted to do because it wasn't fun but I tried new things to help him enjoy learning. When I was younger, me and my little cousins used to play school and my favorite part was teaching them everything that I had learned in school during the weekdays. I felt excited to give them this new information because they would now be able to easily solve problems or write stories in school even though they were grades behind me. I also think it's important to learn Black History because when playing school all the history class we made up was about people who looked like us. Black History is important for everyone to know so we can make a change in history and do things that are different and better for everyone. Also to learn from mistakes from the past so we can become more equal and stop hurting others because they have different skin colors or they “fit into” a stereotype.
