Served in several leadership roles to advance university initiatives to expand development, clinical implementation, diversity and inclusion, and continuous improvement of the Medical College. Advised and counseled students on their academic research projects and career development – with special focus in disabled, minority, and women mentees. Oversaw research efforts, ensure ethical and quality compliance, and support the authorship of scientific and academic articles and presentations.  Promoted from Assistant Professor (2013—2016).

Led and oversaw external and internal research projects. Provided insight to the product development Advisory Board and consolidated complex research and development projects and device application issues. Prepared papers, presentations, articles, and sales force talking points on device applications and research. Collaborated with senior marketing and global project management on new product development and management. Collaborated with MDD and MDR to obtain market approval. Successfully presented two approved FDA devices to market. Instructed end-users on through workshops and short courses on best practices, clinical effectiveness, and innovative techniques to residents, fellows, and practicing physicians.

•Worked under a Senior Research Associate to conduct focused research on access and utilization of medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder. •Exercised analytical skills through use of statistical software’s such as Stata and SPSS.

Participated in a full-time intensive one-year fellowship for dedicated physician-leaders to promote policies and practices that improve access to high-quality care for marginalized and vulnerable populations, including people of color and economically disadvantaged groups. Completed an MPH in Health Policy while participating in leadership forums and seminars with nationally recognized leaders in health care delivery systems, minority health, and public policy.

Provided oversight for the overall operation, administration, and the development of new scientific content, including the management of personnel who are engaged in literature reviews, reference searches, data mining, review articles and scientific manuscripts. Worked closely with stakeholders (e.g., Clinical Development, Biostatistics, R&D, Regulatory, etc.) to ensure the timely development, review, and publication of documents to increase endoscopy center market share within the state and region. Assisted with the development of ppt, white papers, training modules, product monographs, review papers, editorials, and peer-reviewed scientific literature, as needed. Assisted with developing and updating field guidelines and SOPs pertaining to GI cytopathology tissue acquisition. Developed initiatives to create a national brand.
