Co-founded www.retailsolutions.com and ran its worldwide product development team that built the products & services that made the company the leader in Retail Analytics used by top Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies and retailers.The company initially focused on RFID in retail and successfully pivoted to retail analytics for CPGs and their customers. As a founder and CDO, I greatly influenced the company's operations. Vice President, Software Engineering Responsible for delivery of the software framework, applications and documentation for the next generation distributed Factory automation solution called FAB300. Key activities:• Executive position reporting to the President of Consilium; budget responsibility for the development organization.• Technology Management: Worked with NIST/ATP funding and successfully completed the DFS/F framework. Managed the NIST/ATP program. Introduced Microsoft technology to the company – DCOM, MTS, VC++, VB• Planning & Execution: Planned and executed several major releases. Integrated QA activities into all aspects of development. Managed all aspects of product – software release control, development and documentation. System capable of 24X7 operation in high volume transaction environment supporting wafer fab automation.• Process Management: Enforced software development lifecycle processes, tracked progress and implemented continuous improvement actions• Customer Management: Supported sales cycles; worked with a major semiconductor manufacturer to achieve technical selection. Contributed to Applied Materials software strategy.

• Responsible for Semiconductor Industry solutions. Planned, developed and delivered WorkStream Distributed Factory System (WorkStream DFS) in multiple releases on multiple platforms (Alpha/VAX using DBMS, HP-UX, AIX and Alpha/OpenVMS, using Informix and Rdb and Windows NT client.• Planned and executed the transfer of development activities to offshore facility• Next generation product development on Microsoft Distributed OO application framework (FAB300).• Life cycle management activities (which earned an ISO9001 certification for the company).• Secured funding from NIST/ATP for developing a distributed factory system framework. Worked with major semiconductor companies such as Intel, AMD, Infineon and ST-Microelctronics to help deploy the solution in their fabs.
