As a seasoned organizational leader, coach and consultant, my background is in making and facilitating change. Based on my work in and with various organizations and congregations, I launched the Gender Equity in Hiring Project (GEiHP), challenging gender bias in employment processes across Jewish organizational life to help women and people of all genders rise to positions of leadership. As a consultant, and through my work with GEiHP, I work in partnership with colleagues and clients, listening to stories and successes, thinking together creatively to meet challenges both big and small, designing meaningful and powerful learning and experiences, and creating connections and networks that enable communities to thrive and engage in self-reflection.My greatest professional thrill is to experiment, collaborate, think, and play creatively, imagining new ways of learning and striving toward equity. When we become true partners, we develop the courage to experiment together, feel supported when we fail, and are encouraged to try again. As someone who has been a part of the Jewish community for my entire life, I am grateful and humbled to be a part of change, experimentation, reflection, and collaboration. These processes and skills are key to long-term, radical change. Reflection, research, and evaluation are woven into my work and are an integral part of my vision for a more equitable world. I weave, build and activate accessible, active, and powerful networks, grounded in rich conversation.Earlier in my career, I served as an education director for congregations, a community consultant for congregational educators, and an adjunct professor at The Jewish Theological Seminary of America. These experiences provided me with context and insight to support Jewish leaders, schools, congregations, and individuals as they expand their learning and networks to grow as professionals. In my personal time, I love reading everything from nonfiction to novels and everything in between, keeping lists of books to share with others, and gathering with others to share conversation about good books. Visiting art museums and time outdoors enjoying nature are favorite pastimes, too. I’m passionate about hosting Shabbat and holiday dinners for friends and family, weaving together interesting groups of people for conversation, and helping friends and colleagues alike find their voices as allies and advocates for more a just and equitable world (and not just around the table).Let's have a conversation about our shared interests. I’d love to hear from you!
