I teach the English side in a dual language program. I share two classes of 16 students with another teacher. We each start with one class and then switch halfway through the day. While I teach the students Reading, Writing and some Math in English, my colleague teaches Science, Math and Social Studies in Spanish.

Set up classroom; created and implemented weekly lesson plans in all subject areas; created classroom management system; attended staff meetings; participated as a classroom teacher.

Followed lesson plans and taught students from Kindergarten through fourth grade.

I taught an all day Kindergarten class full time while their teacher was out on maternity leave. This included lesson planning, classroom management, faculty meetings, parent-teacher meetings, as well as teaching the main subject areas: Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies and Reading.

I student taught 8 weeks in a Kindergarten classroom under Debbie Hill. I also student taught 8 weeks in a First Grade classroom under Melissa Delk. While there I was involved in after school iSTEP tutoring for 3rd grade. I also helped/participated in the after school Walking Club twice a week.
