Gold trades took place daily in cities like Tehran, Isfahan, Mashhad, and Tabriz, using gold ingots referred to as "watered gold" or molten gold.Dollar dealings connected to Iran occurred in Tehran (specifically Sabzeh Meydan and Afshar Meydan), Herat in Afghanistan, and Sulaymaniyah in Kurdistan.Numerous Telegram groups and companies conveyed exchange rates, using individuals based in these locales. Our firm was the second to integrate such trading with online and mobile platforms, offering services to clientele.Our team had around 18 members: 2 co-founders, 6 core office staff, with the remainder being sales agents and local market inhabitants.Utilizing innovative technologies and modern sales strategies, we garnered approximately 3,000 users and over 800 consistent customers (who paid quarterly) in just 4 months. We were on a constant trajectory of enhancement. However, the Central Bank deemed the dissemination of market trends unlawful. Given our legal exposure, lack of union backing, and the murky regulations surrounding this area, our entity was the only one sidelined.While our competitors held licenses for gold dealings, we were the sole player unable to secure such a permit. Consequently, we had to surrender all client data, settle penalties, and saw our operations halted by the Central Bank of Iran.
