1. Lead a team of Form Tutors to an understanding of and response to characteristic Year-group needs of induction, transition, experience and selection.2. Co-operate in the development of a personal development curriculum appropriate to perceived needs; support Form Tutors in its delivery and evaluate effectiveness of the program.3. Through Form Tutors, maintain the Code of Expectations and Behaviour at Brisbane Grammar School.4. Supervise and initiate parental communication, scheduled and ad hoc.5. Participate in a continuing staff skills-development program aimed at improving counselling skills.6. Co-operate with other Heads of Year in providing opportunities for student leadership development in the School.7. Be responsible to the Headmaster for the academic progress, personal development and general behaviour and well-being within the school community of each student in the Year.8. Participate as an executive member of the Student Welfare Team.

• Co-ordination of, communication with and oversight of 46 teaching staff. • Resource location, selection and organisation for implementation across six year levels each term.• Planning and sequencing of appropriate and relevant term programs. • Development & Documentation of whole-school initiatives • Ongoing professional research & reading in areas of strategic importance and value. • Previewing, selection and ordering of new resources (video, print, electronic)• Attendance at and use of local, State and/ or national conferences and workshops• Attendance, chairing and organisation of PDP meetings• Attendance at Whole-school project meetings • Strategic Annual and Term Planning• Periodic Program Evaluation and Review. • Correspondence (internal & external). • Weekly PDP lesson supervision. Monitoring of sessions & ‘covering’ for absent teachers.
