Joined as a Financial controller in July 2007, major responsibilities to includes:• Spearheaded a corporate initiative to transform the financial department from a record keeping function into a financial reporting and information management unit. This includes designing of monthly financial reporting and support and analysis for operation management for strategic business decisions.• Participated in the initiation, development, and implementation of company’s financial and human resource policy.• Managing and directing accounting function including cash flow management, preparation of business plan/budgets, inventory management, receivables and payable control.• Successfully developed and implemented new product costing system resulting in accuracy in costing of the inventory and improved reporting.• Formulated and implemented Baan ERP in shrimp farm, which is one of the main business segments of the company.• Participated in the initiation, development, and implementation of Point of sales (POS) system across the retail outlets of the company. This includes the integration of the POS system with main ERP Baan in the company. • Managed and liaised with external consultants, HNC, KPMG, Mac Alistair and Al Asaf law firm in valuation, feasibility study, financial and legal due diligence for the right issue of the company

Joined as a Management Accountant in September 2001, Major responsibilities to includes:• Review of General Ledger and transactions to be in line with International Accounting Standards guidelines and group policies.• Preparation/submission of periodic Financial Reports and any analytical report as and when required by the senior management. Periodic financial reports include, monthly and year end financial packages submitted for further consolidation on Group level.• Preparation of corporate annual budget & quarterly forecasts.• Preparation of feasibility reports and capital budgeting, to take timely management decision for introduction of new product/supplier.• Assist and coordinate with the statutory and internal auditors on matters relating to interim and year end audit. • Analyzing and monitoring inventories weeks of supply and review of product costing. Analyzing and monitoring trade receivables, preparation of overdue ageing reports.• Supervision of supplier payments and receivables.• Evaluation of capital expenditure and monitoring Fixed Assets purchases to be within budget.• Deputizing Financial Controller during his vacation/absence.
