I work closely with Government (DESNZ) by supporting the Onshore Wind Taskforce to address key challenges and promote the deployment of onshore wind in the UK. Additionally, I played a pivotal role as the secretariat for RenewableUK’s Onshore Planning and Environment (OPEG) working group and co-secretariat for the Strategic Forum, where we delved into industry topics like circularity and waste management. Regularly engaged with various stakeholders, including Government departments, and contributed to DESNZ's Onshore Wind Taskforce technical subgroups to drive the deployment of onshore wind in the UK.

In my role as a Junior Policy Analyst at RenewableUK, I delivered the comprehensive report 'Onshore Wind in Wales: How our sector works with communities', highlighting the positive impact of renewable energy on local communities. I actively led multiple RenewableUK responses to UK Gov consultations on community benefits and planning, advocating for sustainable energy practices and supportive renewable energy policies. Additionally, I had the opportunity to attend key conferences such as the Labour and Conservative Party Conferences, expanding my industry knowledge and network.

As part of the Offshore Wind Industry Council (OWIC) team I have helped deliver the Annual Workforce & Skills Report by gathering quantitative and qualitative data from the offshore wind industry. At the end of my internship, I presented the findings of the annual report to a large audience at RenewableUK’s Global Offshore Wind Conference (the largest offshore wind event globally with over 4,500 delegates).
