Christina is a nurse with a broad range of experience in multiple areas of healthcare including acute care, critical care, long term care, home health, rehabilitation, wound care, business development, management, and surgery / transplantation. Christina currently works with the Alabama Organ Center as a Certified Procurement Transplant Coordiantor (CPTC). She works to facilitate the transplant process through donor management, as well as provides sugical assistance in the organ evaluation and recovery process. She currently serves on the Procurement Committee with NATCO (North American Transplant Coordinator's Organization) and was recently nominated as a candidate for the Living Donor Committee with UNOS (United Network of Organ Sharing). Christina's peer reviewed publication, "Perspective of a Non-Traditional Living Donor" was published in the June edition of the medical journal, Progress in Transplantation. In addition, Christina has been selected to present abstracted case studies at the national NATCO meeting in Boston, Massachusetts as well as the Winter Symposium for the American Society of Transplant Surgeons in Marco Island, Florida. Her future aspirations are to attend medical school and complete a fellowship in liver/kidney transplantation.
