As the Executive Staff Assistant to the Dean of International Studies & Programs and the Associate Dean of Strategic Partnerships at Michigan State University (MSU), I play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of the university's global strategy and initiatives. MSU is one of the leading public research universities in the world, with a strong commitment to academic excellence, global impact, and diversity.With 24 years of diverse and dynamic experience in public higher education institutions, I have worked closely with senior executives, board members, donors, constituents, and dignitaries. I have a solid understanding of the academic culture and environment, and a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion. I facilitate the communication and collaboration between the deans and various internal and external stakeholders, and manage the administrative functions of the office, such as scheduling, budgeting, travel, and logistics. I have developed high-level skills in office administration, administrative assistance, policies and procedures, spreadsheets, intercultural communication, and international travel. I am a reliable team member, who can adapt to different work styles and high-stress, fast-paced, and fluid environments.
