. I have worked in the Domestic Violence field since 2007. As an advocate I provide one on one culturally sensitive service to women and children in need. I started working with women coming home from prison in 2009 through the Prisoner Reentry Initiative (MPRI) program, which focused on creating better neighbors and better citizens. These women had been identified as domestic violence and sexual assault victims or survivors. Because of my own victimization and daily work in the domestic violence field, I am able to personally relate to the challenges women suffering from domestic violence and sexual assault experience. A lack of resources, skills, and education are number one barriers to women desiring to leave an abusive relationship. This is the reason I am entrenched in the development and implementation of soft skill classes. These soft skills modules are designed to provide empowerment tools to women building a new destiny.I volunteered for Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit for three years and was awarded the volunteer of the year award. I presented Domestic Violence awareness and prevention presentations to the “Flip the Script” male empowerment classes that were held at Goodwill Industries. I am currently the CEO; Case Manager, Educator, and a Victim Advocate of “Still Standing” a Faith-based Christ centered Domestic Violence and sexual Assault non-profit agency servicing Wayne and Oakland County. This organization is focused on creating awareness, providing education, and promoting prevention of domestic violence and sexual assault. We believe that together, we can be proactive, educate our community, provide a safe place, and shine the light on that dirty little secret that steal, kill and destroy lives and families (John 10:10). At “Still Standing” we use the concept of family strengthening through advocacy, prayer, forgiveness, and supernatural healing. We use a faith based support system to help achieve a violence free society.

  "Stil Standing" is a Christ centered 501 (c) (3) Non-profit organization focused on creating awareness, providing education, and promoting prevention of Domestic violence and Sexual Assault. Our mission is to walk with and guide men, women and children through the education, prevention, restoration, survival, and healing of Domestic Violence and Sexual assault. We use the concept of family strengthening through advocacy, prayer, forgiveness, and super natural healing.
