I love dreaming about building systems that are life-giving to everybody. I think life is about the communities we create and we should be creating spaces that center and value people and the Earth. I want to be part of organizations that experiment with ways of building humanity. I have a crush on intense critical thinking, developing relationships with others, and creative problem solving, especially from systemic levels. If we can imagine it, we can do it. Like Octavia Butler told us, there are thousands of solutions.Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer is the best thing I ever read. It should be required reading for humanity. I'm currently really into Indigenous and earth centered knowledge to expand my ways of knowing. My proudest accomplishments are my laugh lines earned in community with others.

Inspiring North Carolinians to make lasting and meaningful contributions to their communities.
As a start-up non-profit, my role was to jump in wherever I was needed. I onboarded and supported partners implementing social-emotional curriculum, developed partnerships with other service providers in the areas we served, led the contract review and implementation process that included invoicing, developed resources for partners, and curated pathways for sustainability.
Remote
I was part of the startup team that implemented a 7 year, $30 million college access grant that served 11 school districts in Western North Carolina. Our team created the program from the ground up while developing policies, procedures, goals, programs, strategy, and more. I was directly responsible for helping the 11 school districts design and implement the programs in their schools as well as planning events for students that were implemented at Appalachian State University. This work allowed us to help 15,000 student consider postsecondary options. In 2020 we received an additional 7 year, $30 million grant with 10 school districts. In this phase of the work, I am focusing on creating a value-centered organization that dismantles harmful systems.
Boone, Nc
In this position I focused on using my virtual community building skills to teach families about how our department could serve their students. I helped build excitement for families as they planned for their students to move into their new homes on campus while ensuring that safety was our first priority. In summers, I built a strong team of student staff and we welcomed visitors to campus and ensured their stays in our halls were excellent.
Boone, Nc
My staff and I took pride in our residential area as we built strong communities where students could take risks, make a home, have fun, and gain support. Although our jobs were technically to manage budgets, plan events, respond to crisis, provide resources, and much more, our main focus was developing meaningful relationships with each other and those around us.
Philadelphia, Pa
I ran three residential buildings at this university. I was the advisor of the hall government that planned an end-of-year circus event and won Advisor of the Year.
Steubenville, Ohio Area
My first priority was developing relationships with mentors and mentees as we worked together to create meaningful experiences for everyone in the program. During my time in the program, I increased the number of participants, implemented the organization's inaugural fundraiser, and amplified the voice of the program in the community.
University Heights, Oh
This is the position where I learned how to build strong teams whose connections remain long past the time we worked together. We built community, planned events, responded to crisis, and had a whole lot of fun.
Cincinnati Area, Ky
In my first position here, I used a CRM system to provide childcare options to area families. I developed a competition with myself everyday to see if I could serve more families than I did any previous day. I made sure that everyone who called felt like they were the most important person who ever called us. Because of the relationships I was able to develop over the phone, one parent even ended up hiring me as their babysitter in the evenings and weekends. In my second position, I helped families secure funding for childcare. I did my best to understand the system so thoroughly that I could help each family get the maximum amount of funding that the system allowed.
