DuSable Leadership Academy is a college preparatory high school under the charter of Betty Shabazz International Charter School.

Betty Shabazz International Charter School is an elementary school with an African centered focus. It carries children from Kindergarten through 8th grade. At Shabazz, I taught 7th and 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies. From there, I moved to the high school, DuSable Leadership Academy, to teach American Literature and serve as the Sophomore House Lead Teacher.
