I view social media as a friend when I am lonely, a companion when I need a date, and entertainment when I’m bored. And while I can assure you that I actually have a life that extends past the virtual realm, I am proud to be a cyber fanatic. Every aspect of it intrigues me. How quickly trends grow and die, how strangers become friends, and how social media is closing the gap between brands and consumers and between celebrities and fans—are all reasons why I have been consumed with mastering it for over 4 years with have no intentions of stopping.The highlights of my social media career begins with VIBE Vixen. In 2014 VIBE Vixen focused on building their followers. Taking over social media efforts for VIBE Vixen I managed to grow their small following to over 50k before I left my VIBE family in early 2015. Mid 2015 I moved to Florida and became a Social Media Assistant at Prestige Cosmetics. I started working with the company August 2015 and increased their online presence over 30k socially before departing in early 2016.Thanks to social media, my thoughts have expanded and my interests have grown. Through my job—as a growing social media maven—I am constantly coming up with ways to virtually entice others to believe in whatever I am selling them. I become quirkier through 140 characters on a daily and I know how to make a picture say a 1000 of the most perfect phrases and sentences. With that being said, my expertise extends past knowing how to make a presence on many social platforms but also how to manage those followings through programs like HootSuite, Tweetdeck, and Archie. I am very organized when it comes to scheduling and creating calendars that are weeks to months in advanced. I have the skills to create videos, memes, gifs, and all other images you would need on any social platform. However while my expertise is vast, I am constantly learning and building my social media knowledge.
