I was the Rep. for Oak Ridge Elementary School for the Leon County School Teacher's Association (LCTA) for many years. As the current VP elect for the LCTA, I had to step down from this site based role. I was lucky enough to find my replacement.

In addition I am the membership coordinator and a member of the boards for Foundations for Leon Schools; bargaining committee and the TERC (teacher evaluation review committee), and CLC ( Central Labor Council). It is my responsibility in all of these positions be a representitive of the LCTA association and work collaboratively with community partners, school district staff and administrators as well as the board members of the Leon County Schools and Superintendent of schools. It has been my pleasure to take on the role of elected office for my professional association.

With my business partners collegues from around the Tallahassee area we support teachers from Leon County Schools with grant awards. The foundation works throughout the year to raise money for the fund that supports the grants. The Teachers Union and School board are integral members with the businesses. It's a wonderful way to make contacts with the community and build relationships with our local businesses.
