Shari J. L. Meehan is Senior Director of Development and Planned Giving for the Health Professions Division at Nova Southeastern University, where she creates and implements comprehensive strategic plans for major and planned gifts philanthropy and outreach for student scholarships, faculty development and recruitment and support for research. Prior to joining the university, Shari was Director of Development and Community Engagement at Florida Atlantic University, Schmidt College of Medicine and held numerous positions at City of Hope, including Senior Director of National Philanthropy and Regional Director of Philanthropy. Shari holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University, a Juris Doctor and a Master’s in Business Administration from Suffolk University, a Diploma in Education from McGill University together with Certified Fundraising Executive and Certified Planned Giving Associate credentials.
