I am Swiss Army Knife of Skills.Once my colleague sent a quote from The Principia by Sir Isaac Newton in which he described "an action is always required to go to next level". She told me my thirst of knowledge to achieve greatness, desire to research everything in detail and having an inventive mind reminded me of this. I'd also like to think that she was likening me to Newton.Hello! I'm Shariq and I am of inventive mind.Ever since I was a little kid, taking things apart and joining the back together was my passion. I still remember my father used to bring me all type of aeroplanes and helicopters, I used to dissemble and assemble them back again like I felt they should be. I think that’s how I got interested into engineering and very specifically “things that fly”. Because of my deep interest my father taught me Assembly language so I can control some basic movements and see how things work. Furthermore, I went towards learning PASCAL and then C languages through any books I can find and with the help of my father. I was insatiable. This passion carried me through my education where I can find more resources which I could ever imagined as a kid. I learnt various subjects and many got integrated into my passion which includes, Systems Engineering, Control System Design, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, CAD Modelling, Manufacturing, Solid Mechanics, Finite Element Methods, Finite Volume Methods, Multiphysics Modelling, Free Surface Flows, Heat Transfer, Laser Deposition, Additive Manufacturing, Part Building and 3D Printing. I have worked with multinational companies including Rolls Royce, Procter & Gamble, BAE Systems, British Petroleum (BP), Surveillance and Target Unmanned Aircraft Company, The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission, Pakistan International Airlines and Renewable Energy Research Centre, on Research and Development (R&D) projects. Ever since then and all the planned journey through all these years has made to become who I am today.So, now, in industry, this passion remains with me. There is certainly yet more to learn, yet more problems to solve, and yet to be built. And for this I am very grateful.
