While in college studing pre-law, I worked part-time as a Paralegal at a San Francisco Law Firm. In 1997 I moved to Phoenix, working very closely with the Broker/Principal, I was taught everything about negotiating, leasing, valuating properties, development, and forming syndications. After about a year, I began to work as an exclusive agent representing the principles and various syndications in the leasing, purchase and selling of their commercial property assets. Within my first year in the industry, I was named “Rookie of the Year” and three years into the business, I was promoted to Director of Sales, where I represented over $75 million in retail sales and leasing transactions. Recruited to Sperry Van Ness in 2001 as Senior Advisor, I expanded my role and begun working with other investors and property owners with their sale and leasing needs. Years later, I received my broker’s license and became an Associate Broker. In 2008, I along with 4 others became partners of the Sperry Van Ness Phoenix franchise office. In 2019, I sold my interest in the firm and took some much-needed time off.
