The server used asynchronous I/O, IO Completion ports and multi threading to maintain concurrent connections. Developed using Visual C++.Designed and led the development of ReachPlus, a client/server application supporting extensibility via add-ins. The architecture provided communication services to client/server add-ins. Led the development of IMWave Business Messenger. The application allowed the user to merge all the contacts under different instant messaging services and contact managers into one application, send instant messages, provide presence information, sync contacts to the web for roaming capability and requesting contact updates. Developed the following modules:* WebSync: This module allowed Business Messenger to communicate with the server using HTTP and XML streams for authentication, syncing of contacts, update requests, new user registration, application update notifications. Written in Visual C++ using Windows Internet API and Microsoft XML parser.* BMData: This module provided local data storage and retrieval services for the Business Messenger Address Book.Developed OutSync, implemented as a Microsoft Outlook add-in, it allowed the user to sync contacts to the web for roaming capability, access contacts anywhere from the web, request contact update information from contacts and retrieve their most up-to-date information automatically. Developed a COM component, which implemented interfaces and methods to communicate with the server using HTTP and XML streams and import/update outlook contacts during the sync with web.Developed Web Phone, a CTI application that allows the user to retrieve web pages via a touch-tone telephone. The user associated commands with URLs prior to using the system. When the user entered a command via the touch tone phone, the web page was downloaded and played out using text to speech.Customized a web based Auction Management System written using ASP to customer requirements. The application was modified to work with Oracle 9i which involved changes throughout the system as the original application had been designed to work with Microsoft SQL Server.
