Having been adopted twice and surviving child sexual abuse, she travels extensively to educate and inspire others about adoption and foster youth support. Sharlene holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Counseling from East Carolina University. She is also a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
