CA Catalyst 1.0/1.0.2 Responsible for implementing the critical parts of CMC (Catalyst Management Console), a web-based administration console for the Catalyst platform. This application enables an administrator to monitor the health of the various Catalyst modules, to search for specific events flowing in the Catalyst platform and to view the SOAP logs for the various modules deployed on local/remote Tomcat servers. It also provides a user provisioning facility. Responsible for implementing a filtering capability at the Level 1 connector for filtering both incoming and outgoing events. Catalyst provides a mechanism called Policies to implement any extensions to the core platform. Filters are implemented as a Policy. Responsible for creating/maintaining WS-BPEL based process definitions that provide the web service orchestration necessary to integrate the CA Service Desk, CA Service Catalog and CA Identity Manager products. These BPELs are part of a use case that provides automatic user provisioning when an employee joins an organization, changes a role or leaves an organization.
