In this role, Sarah drove strategy and program execution for the American Airlines internal communications team and supported employee engagement efforts. She served as the day-to-day client contact, managed a nationally dispersed team of 12+ people, led messaging development and the creation of materials. • Managed and fostered the professional development of junior team members and interns.
• Served as “Media Relations Program Manager” for several groups inside Texas Instruments’ (TI) semiconductor business focused on video and high-performance DSP processors. Worked directly with TI product marketing.
• Led and oversaw execution of strategic, comprehensive media relations programs with traditional and social media outreach. Drove product positioning, development of key messages and creation of press materials.
• Significant experience pitching and staffing briefings for nationwide in-person and phone tours targeting media and industry analysts. Successes include obtaining numerous cover and feature stories in leading.
• Bolstered traditional media relations outreach with social media efforts using tools such as Facebook, Twitter, blogs and videos to reach customers and media directly.
• Executed media briefings and customer meetings at industry tradeshows. Led media relations for TI Developer Conference, a multi-day event with more than 1500 attendees and 120+ media briefings.
