Founded the Storybook Dads charity in 2003 which was run from an empty prison cell in HMP Dartmoor. StorybookDads helps to keep prisoners and their families connected by sending recordings of imprisoned parents reading bedtime stories to their children. We now have a large editng suite in HMP Channings Wood where recordings from over 100 prisons nationwide are sent for production.We have developed various other projects over the years including personalised comics, pop up books, calendars and memory books. We now operate in over 100 prisons nationwide including women's prisons, Young Offenders establishments and secure hospitals. We employ some of our prisoner audio and video editorss as 'home editors' on a part time basis when they leave prison to help with their successful resettlement. We have won 14 national awards and a European award for our work with prisoners and their families. We have helped prisons in Poland, Denmark, Hungary, Japan, Portugal , Hong Hong, Australia and USA to implement the scheme. We also provided training inaudio production for the armed forces so they could copy our model.Specialties: Tenacity, unyielding optimism and patience.
