As a special education teacher I have full responsibility for writing lessons, modifying instruction, and implementing accommodations in accordance with the Common Core Curriculum. In addition, I perform formal and informal assessments of student progress, setting individual academic goals and differentiating instruction. My teaching background includes experience with students that are behaviorally challenged, culturally diverse, special needs and students "at-risk" for learning disabilities.

As teacher I have full responsibility for providing hands-on experiences throughout the classroom. I have created a developmentally appropriate environment with outstanding evaluations as stipulated by Trenton administrators. I was responsible for lead instruction, assessing students and writing lesson plans that are in accordance with the Trenton Board of Education adopted curriculum and NJ Dept. of Education Early Learning Assessment System (ELAS) . Introduced weekly parent newsletter and held frequent parent conferences to encourage open communication.

I was responsible for supporting the teacher with the overall classroom environment, project set up, and individual tutoring. I was a substitute teacher for grades K-6.
