I used to dream of being a rockstar. Specifically, playing keys for Bruce Springsteen. Instead, I build rockstar teams in the education sector. With 8 years experience in school leadership, my top priority is hiring and developing the right people that will have a positive impact on learning outcomes. I have successfully built collaborative, cross-functional teams from 43-80 people that have collectively improved reading scores by 20% over the past year. Yearly, I recruit between 5-10 new teaching grads to join our team through strategic partnerships with higher education faculties and creative recruitment strategies such as mentorship and support through the transition from university to the professional world. I’m dedicated to pouring into performance coaching and talent development because the future of education depends upon strong, effective educators. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me with my nose in a book (I love to learn), baking bread or attempting to code, often not with a lot of success.
