As an International Program Specialist, I work on various programmatic opportunities to expand access to the intellectual property (IP) ecosystem through international collaboration between IP offices and organizations (IPOs) worldwide including: EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and Africa.I lead and support special projects to execute international programs that uplift and empower women and girls in the global IP ecosystem. Particular emphasis on creating and scaling outreach strategies targeting underestimated communities and innovators.I am the current Project Manager of the Annual Women in IP Symposium, a three-day event convening delegates from intellectual property (IP) offices from around the world, both in person and online, to discuss engaging topics and collaborate on developing and sustaining impactful programs that address the state of women's representation in the IP ecosystem today and in the future. In addition to providing overall governance and guidance to the planning teams as appropriate, I also provide leadership and actively manage project team resources; research session topics and develop panel questions for moderators, facilitators, panelists and guest speakers. I prep all speakers including USPTO agency leadership, IPO heads and their support teams for sessions. I perform occasional Mistress of Ceremony activities during the event. I collaborate with the USPTO's Front Office speechwriting team and, in 2024, developed the final version of approved talking points for USPTO's Director.Additionally, I support the International Outreach Administration (IOA) division within the Office of International Patent Cooperation (OIPC) by conducting research, preparing briefing documents, and developing presentations, among other mission-focused activities.I assist in identifying opportunities and best practices to advance implementation of global diversity programs, drawing upon lessons and practices from other IPOs, strategic partners and stakeholders.
