Executive Assistant | Global Client And Leadership Support – Wpp@Unilever And Nestlé Asia
Ea To Ww Managing Director, Unilever And Managing Director, Wpp@Unilever And Team Support
When I considered rejoining Ogilvy, I didn't just focus on what I could do for the company or the needs of my team and superiors. Instead, I looked for a role that would offer opportunities for personal and professional growth, including character development and networking. My primary objective was to help improve the company's culture, and while standard administrative tasks were part of the job, I was primarily drawn to the role because of the support from my boss and team and the opportunity to work towards enhancing the company culture. I was able to be myself and contribute in a way that impacted others (and clients), which also had a positive impact on me. Due to the win-win partnership, I felt comfortable trying new things and sharing my passion for floral arrangement, interior design, arts, cooking, and entertainment with the team. My goal is to ensure our people are taken care of, the office is welcoming, and we retained good people while also developing relationships. I appreciated the environment that fostered growth and success for both me and the team.
Ea To President & Managing Director, Asia Pacific
Founder
Despite being a full-time housewife and taking care of my children, I have managed to maintain a high level of learning. Along with my family responsibilities, I have devoted my time to exploring my interests and passions. This led me to establish SF Gifts, a business that specializes in baking and gifting for families during festive occasions. Through this business, my children were able to learn about baking, business, production management, and gifting with heart. Currently, due to our other obligations such as work, school, and family duties, we operate on a smaller scale, but we continue to create gifts for our loved ones with affection. When we have more purpose, experience, and new skills, which will be during my retirement years, we have plans to resume gifting. It brings us joy and enables us to connect with others and family bonding. You can find our creations at www.sfgifts.sg.
Office Facilities Manager And Personal Assistant To Cfo
I rejoined Ogilvy and took on the challenge of Facility Management without prior experience, but I believe in making the best out of any situation. I didn't let the challenge deter me and instead, dedicated myself to making the most of this opportunity. During my three-year tenure, I was in charge of managing office administration and facilities, implementing accountability systems, reducing costs, and coordinating team activities and resources. Furthermore, I improved stakeholder engagement and productivity, managed office renovations of varying sizes, collaborated with interior designers and builders to achieve the BCA Green Mark Gold Award, and successfully led the office relocation for 500 staff, which earned me the prestigious "Giant Award" in 2011. Of course, all of these accomplishments were made possible with the help of a great team.My approach to tackling new challenges has always been to remain eager and receptive to learning from my environment, while also being proactive in finding the resources necessary to solve specific issues. With a strong work ethic and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, I have always been driven to succeed. I take pride in my desire for continuous improvement and strive to assist others who share the same mindset.Although I moved to a full-time housewife, I am still committed to my personal and professional growth. My time at Ogilvy taught me that with a selfless attitude and unwavering dedication to success, nothing is impossible.
Personal Assistant To Regional President
Full spectrum of superior administrative and secretarial support to President, Asia and Chief Strategy Officer, Asia. Role involved significant travel and organization of many Regional off-site meetings.
Office Manager
I provided administrative and secretarial support to the Chairman, Regional Directors, and local teams. During my tenure, I implemented and improved office administrative systems, functions, operations, and procedures to optimize office workflow efficiency. This included designing filing systems, reviewing and approving office supply requests, and overseeing clerical tasks. I managed recruitment, provided guidance and training to department secretaries, and monitored their performance. Additionally, I successfully organized events such as the Qci Launch, Asian Masterclass Analysis Conference, and other company functions. I was also an active team member for group administrative support for company events and served as a part of the adhoc PA Buddy system for various local management groups and WW management team.
Department Secretary
In this role, I provided secretarial and administrative support to the Tech Team, organized numerous events, assisted the team in monitoring media, and helped prepare media reports for clients. My supervisor for this position was Tiong Wee Choo.
Front Office Receptionist
In this role, I was responsible for managing visitor traffic, responding to and redirecting phone calls, and maintaining security. This gave me the opportunity to become familiar with the work environment and assess whether it was a good fit for me, as it presented a new set of challenges. During my tenure in this position, I was responsible for managing the sales and service functions, delivering sales and customer service training, and organizing a variety of events and holiday camps. In addition, I supported senior staff in promoting the business externally. Although the role mainly involved operational duties, the most rewarding aspect was being able to engage closely with children and their parents. At the time, I was also starting my own family and had young children of my own. This experience enabled me to explore parenting and working with young children, and I even volunteered to teach and develop my own enrichment curriculum that focused on fostering character development, building confidence, and creating enjoyable experiences for the children. Seeing the children's smiling faces made the experience very fulfilling, and I hope to have the opportunity to work with children again when I have more time in the future and relive the joy and energy they bring.
Retail Sales & Operations/ Fashion Consultant
Between 1990 and 1997, I worked in the fashion industry after completing my studies at a local art school.
