I have been working at EP Architects Ltd, a small architectural company, located just outside Maidstone since 2013. We undertake all types of architectural work from small extensions and loft conversions to new build self build houses and housing developments. We have also designed fitness centres, nursing homes and industrial storage units. We are involved from the survey and concept stages, planning and building regulations with the local councils, tender and construction phases of a project.

I was involved with healthcare buildings, including a Secure & Forensic Development.

I undertook domestic projects requiring planning and building regulation approvals and the re-planning of a hospital department whilst self employed. The contract work included school projects.

I was involved with various school projects ranging from £500,000- £1,300,000, including new build and refurbishment.

I worked at Burns Guthrie & Partners after completing my degree for my year of practical experience before returning to university to complete my post graduate diploma. On completion of the diploma, I returned to Burns Guthrie & Partners to complete my second year of practical experience in order to complete my architectural training, in 1994. I continued to work for the practice until December 1998, being involved with many school projects from inception to completion of building works. I was also the project architect for a new 40 bed nursing home for elderly psychiatric patients.
