I am passionate about supporting conservation and the protection of endangered animal species. I am dedicating time in Borneo at least once a year, sometimes twice.... volunteering in orangutan sanctuaries in East and Central Kalimantan. To interact with orangutans that you know will eventually be fully rehabilitated and released back into the wild is probably one of the most fulfilling 'jobs' I have ever experienced. The volunteers do everything from preparing the orangutans' food and personally feeding them to cleaning cages, construction on the islands and being educated about the devastation that is happening to both the environment/forests and the animals that live in the forests of Borneo. In June 2018 I was honoured to be included on a release into the protected forests of Borneo where 5 orangutans we’re finally set free after many years of rehab. It was an experience no words can describe . While there I was able to shoot some incredible footage of the release and of the committed work of the BOSF team that executed the release.I am so inspired to be supporting an organisation that is totally dedicated and committed to the survival of this incredible primate .
