I have 15 years’ experience, developing skills in the Australian Commonwealth Government. I have a deep passion for worker’s compensation and work, health and safety, as my passion is to help prevent injuries within the workplace and help people recover and return to work. I managed a large portfolio of complex and high-risk claims, for Australian Federal Police Officers. I have extensive knowledge of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988, Work, Health and Safety Act 2011 and other various legislations related to the Public Service. I am adept with changing priorities while meeting statutory/regulatory guidelines and timeframes. Having developed strong written and verbal communication styles, which I can adapt to varying audiences, my skills ensure all partied involved in the process are informed of the roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder. I am very dedicated to justice and ensuring decisions are fair and just, with a high affirmation rates at appeal. I would also utilise other resources such as MD guidelines (completed training for this resource) and seek guidance from Clinical Panel experts (consulting medical professionals).I have obtained certification in Motivational Interactions, in which I developed active listening, high level customer focus, development and implementation of return-to-work plans and communication skills while adhering to legislative requirements. I also enjoyed mentoring a number of staff who have successfully progressed their careers, which further drove my desire to pursue a leadership roles. Further, I successfully completed a Certificate IV in Government and a Certificate IV in Claims.Recently I expanded my knowledge in procurement assurance (auditing procurement transactions for the DESE) and data analysis (Workforce Australia Project). I have learnt to use a variety of new programs including PDMS, Azure DevOps and Power BI. I am currently in the process of gaining a baseline security clearance.

However as my passion remains for Case Management I am actively seeking new and exciting APS 6 positions with case management, claims management, leadership and work, health and safety roles. -
