My day to day duties are to aid the manager in controlling the day to day duties on the shop floor whole trying to ensure that profit and sales are maximised. While looking after the interests of the customers and the staff. Including some staff training, booking in deliveries, dealing with faulty and returned goods. Ensuring all staff is asking for data capture, parent and child and catalogue sales. Also dealing with banking, opening and closing store at end if the day. I also have my level 3 in retail management.

In this position I was supervisor to 20+ staff out in the community ensuring that they had all their training before they went out to work. I had to carry out spot checks on staff ensuring they were sticking to company guide lines and dress code. Also I had to do risk assessments and care plans with the service users liaise with management, social workers, family's and Doctors to ensure the service user was getting the best possible care.

I relocated with my parents when they took over the Northern Hotel, Brechin. I was expected to share the responsibility for all aspects for this hotel. I gained experience in the running if the function suites, bars, restaurants and letting rooms. I would often be left to run the hotel to allow my parents some time off. I was expected to undertake any work necessary within the hotel and outside bars and functions and enjoyed this changing workload. There was also a large number off staff and I gained valuable experience and insight while working alongside and managing the verity of people employed there. After the death if my father the business was sold.
