I am currently the Elections Director for Rowan County. I started in elections in August 2020. I’ve completed 6 of the 12 CERA courses for National accreditation as an Elections Director. I’ve taken and passed the State Board of Elections Election Administration Exam. I completed the Rowan County Leadership Development Program in 2023 and won the speech contest at the end of the class. Most importantly, I work with the most amazing team of people. They are smart, hard working and dependable and I couldn’t do this job without them.Prior to that I worked the last 15 years for Washington Montessori Public Charter School as the Testing Coordinator, PowerSchool Coordinator and Office Manager. I have also been the IAM, NCID and EDDIE administrator. Prior to going to work for the school, I worked for local county governments. My knowledge is mostly in real property appraisal and GIS mapping for county tax offices. All of my jobs have given me extensive experience in assisting the public and an opportunity to grow and learn. I enjoy teamwork and learning new technology. I have a lifelong love of learning!
