Sharon Middendorf is a versatile entrepreneur, model, and musician known for her dynamic career. She began modeling at 17 in Cleveland, Ohio after being scouted by John Casablancas’ Elite Model Management, working with iconic designers including Marc Jacobs, Thierry Mugler and Pierre Cardin, and featured in major publications like Glamour, Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Time Magazine. As a musician, she formed and was the front woman for the alternative rock band Motorbaby, which signed to Rawkus and Mercury Records and released multiple albums and singles, developing a passionate fan base and earning recognition in Rolling Stone and the New York Post. She also appeared in music videos for artists like the Beastie Boys, Cheap Trick and AC/DC. In the early 2000s, Sharon discovered a passion for real estate and design and founded GO-Cottage, a vacation destination in Lake Placid, NY, where she transformed a run-down bungalow property into a sought-after vacation retreat. Her design philosophy, which emphasizes simplicity and natural light, has earned recognition in national publications like Country Living, Domino, and HGTV.
