An academic, inventor, and entrepreneur, Dr. Moore describes herself as solution-focused and goal oriented. She invented the patented Sportscale System, which is now the flagship product for Sportscale, Inc., a company she founded and leads. The innovation is an example of her tackling a real-life industry problem and creating a solution; the product’s story is shared at sportscalesystem.com.Dr. Moore is Innovator in Residence and an Associate Professor in the Miller School of Entrepreneurship at East Carolina University's College of Business. She taught for 16 years in ECU's Athletic Training Education Program. Dr. Moore advised Pitt County Schools (Greenville, NC) Athletic Training Program for 13 years, leading each of the county's six high schools to earning the NATA's Safe Sports School Award. Dr. Moore has extensive experience practicing as an athletic trainer in secondary-schools, at the college and university level, and has covered events at the Olympic Training Center and for the US Paralympic Track and Field team. She also owns Athlete Care Team, LLC, an athletic training consulting group that serves as a resource for schools and organizations struggling to hire an athletic trainer or establish reliable care plans for athletes. Dr. Moore is extensively engaged in leadership roles across professional and community organizations. Often described as passionate, Dr. Moore is all-in on commitments and characterizes key ingredients related to her success as: trusted mentors and teammates; the pursuit of efficiencies; informed and intentional decision-making; and her favorite, loyalty.
