At Focal Point Launch Support, I focused on strategies designed to streamline the invoicing and accounts payable process as well as created marketing campaigns to increase market share and raise awareness of the business in the automotive industry. The marketing needs a niche business are often unique to a specific industry and this position allowed me to expand my marketing skills from general large-scale campaigns to creating smaller, laser-focused promotions in a specific industry. At Mahdeen, Inc., I created new products, oversaw production and was responsible for sales and marketing. This grass-roots endeavor added to my knowledge of marketing in the highly-competitive food marketing industry and allowed me to put together targeted, market-specific product promotion events.

While at Courier-Journal Media, I had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of advertising clients, helping them to craft their message, design their campaign, define their audience and create a media mix the help them reach their business goals. I spent approximately 90% of my time in the field working with our entire account executive team and their customers teaching them the importance of effective and well-planned marketing and advertising strategies. My role in new business development afforded me the chance to work with select prospects, one-on-one assisting them with their marketing strategies and helping them to navigate the never-ending stream of media choices. Among my greatest accomplishments was working with non-traditional advertisers, aiding them in putting together campaigns that raised their profile and status within the business community as well as raising awareness of their organization to the general public. Every business has a story to tell and I helped them tell theirs successfully and cost effectively.
