As the Lead Communication Strategist for Migori County government in the office of the Member of County Assembly, I lead and execute strategic initiatives that create a collaborative environment in the county assembly by building meaningful relationships to help the MCA deliver on her mandate. I leverage my analytical skills, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) framework, and presentation abilities to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and to facilitate collaboration and alignment across teams and functions.I have a strong background in business process improvement and management, having worked as the Operations Area Manager at Amazon, the world's largest internet based enterprise that is largely focused on providing e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming and artificial intelligence services. I managed a team of 100 employees in two different work streams, and oversaw the implementation of OKRs across the fulfillment center. I led and executed several projects that improved the compliance accuracy and efficiency of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure a seamless constant cycle of order processing, item picking and shipping. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University, where I learned to problem-solve creatively and apply engineering principles to optimize processes and systems.I am passionate about capacity development and youth leadership, and I seek to use my skills and experience to contribute to ethical governance and driving impactful change that improve the livelihoods of underserved communities.
