At AWC I help where I can. My most frequently utilized location is in the nursing lab. I assist the nursing students in developing their nursing skills and test them on this knowledge. I also function as a clinical educator at the various locations in Yuma that have bedside care. My newest attribute will be as a course leader and substitute teacher. Helping to shape the future of nursing has been calling me, and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Labor and Delivery Nurse. Assisting moms through labor, delivery, and transition. Life at the bedside in this setting is exciting, scary, and very fulfilling. Helping a mom to be realize that they can do this and that they will get through this is one of the most awe inspiring aspects of being at the bedside. Whether they deliver 100%, use pain medicine and/or an epidural, or need a cesarean section, there is something I can teach to every mom, and something I have learned from every delivery.
