My working history includes working for Local Authorities enacting their legal duties, policies and guidelines, as a qualified Social Worker. This has afforded me vast transferable skills and experience in ensuring compliance with legislation, policy, guidance and standards. I have excellent assessment and problem solving skills; and am an analytical thinker who enjoys the complexities of theoretical, practical and strategic matters. I have previously enjoyed developing and delivering a wide variety of training programs, which fuels my innate passion for learning and has led to my current career as a Lecturer and Group Tutor in Health and Social Care, teaching new generations of social care, social services and nursing professionals. This role makes full use of my communication and organisational planning skills, passion for learning and ability to be creative in the work I undertake. This role is enhanced due to my previous role as a Study Skills Tutor, which involved one to one tuition to support students with dyslexia, dyspraxia or other learning differences; and as a Mental Health Mentor through out their studies - ranging from HNC to Degree Level.
