Leads digital communications including the management of EDMs, SEO, web content and digital asset management along with digital production.Duties:- Designs email campaigns and other visual digital communications, including testing, evaluation and email design- Coordinates the email marketing process including content collation, segmentation, design, proofing, approval and send to recipients.- Assesses, scopes and leads website content, update requests and functionality.- Manages video production of short pieces to camera for social media and website use.- Undertakes reporting for QLS digital channels- Leads, undertakes and provides advice on SEO and social media marketing/advertising- Champions user experience across all digital channels, testing and improving the engagement of our various audiences- Contributes to digital projects as requiredInvolved in projects including Find a Solicitor (Community IMC campaign) 2019; Symposium 2019, 2020, 2021; Council election 2019; Future Leaders Council election 2020; Membership and Practising Certificate renewals 2019, 2020, 2021; and Proctor 2020 print to digital project.

Facilitated the development of tertiary students’ design skills and knowledge of design theory,assessing and providing feedback over two assignments: via a project plan and a portfolio of design work. Collectively, these assessments provided training in the theoretical and practical aspects of visual communication. The overview of the unit is below.“Visual communication techniques are essential in capturing the attention of an increasingly visually literate society. Understanding how to design well is growing in importance in a society that is time poor and overloaded with competing sources of media. You will learn how to apply design theory in a variety of visual communication contexts relevant to the journalism, media and communication industries. You will gain an understanding of the role of design as a communication tool in a variety of outputs including newspapers, magazines, online publications and other integrated communication resources. It introduces the theory of design, its formats, the use of desktop publishing software, the principles of typography and design and the development of stakeholder relationships (photographers, printers, etc.).”
