As a writer I am a late bloomer. A mid-life divorce led me to return to graduate school and become a psychotherapist. This was a good choice for me because I am fascinated by people and their relationships – their relationships with the others in their lives and, more importantly, with themselves.But when I wrote my first book, I was hooked. Writing is it! I love getting lost in a story. I love that it takes the writer and, hopefully, the reader, from one reality to another. When I am writing I live a sort of double life with one foot in my work-a-day world and the other in the reality of the book. It is a wonderful, sometimes dizzying, juxtaposition of those two realities. The stories help us transcend the here and now and allow us to view the world through the eyes of others.
