Design and deliver EAP and ESAP foundation year programmes along with materials and assessments of CERF A2 to CERF C1. Tutor 14-15 students on a weekly basis. Responsibility for writing national reading examination papers (elementary to intermediate) for English speakers of other languages (ESOL) and for pre-editing and editing ESOL reading examination papers at Cambridge UCLES. All examination papers have become live examinations nationwide.

-Design and delivery of ESOL (elementary to advanced) and EFL (PET-Proficiency and IELTS) programmes within the college for adult and 16-18 cohorts, in line with the ESOL National Curriculum. -Direct responsibility for creating schemes of work, Individual learning plans, material creation and accurate record keeping.-Successfully increased the CAE and IELTS pass rate and maintained 100% achievement in courses, whilst contributing to meetings and development of the curriculum area.-Main tutor for over 12 classes, involving progress checks and reports, problem solving, tackling under achievement or attendance issues and responding to learners' individual needs and learning styles. -Skilfully managed a 70 strong department of English teaching volunteers working within the community. -Created and delivered an innovative English language teacher training programme resulting in volunteers gaining City and Guilds level 2 accreditation and experience within the local community. -Successfully researched and implemented new teaching and health and safety procedures that are currently in use within the department.

-Direct responsibility for the oral communication programme for 600 students, creating and implementing core curriculum programmes. -Achievements include being the first foreign teacher to be promoted to main teacher status in the school.-International representative for the Karuizawa Board of Education, Promoting Karuizawa to the international community. Duties included advising and negotiating with international bodies and redesigning and translating museums and places of cultural and educational interest. -Successfully appealed to the IOC for the construction of an Olympic centre.-Delivered training for other JET participants and Japanese English teachers. Designed and presented keynote speeches and workshops to provide support and to develop teaching excellence.
