In 2016 I graduated with an MSIS with a concentration in Archives and Record Administration from the State University of New York at Albany. Throughout my graduate and undergraduate education I worked as much as possible with archives and special collections and continued that pursuit in a piecemeal fashion after earning my degree. In the fall of 2017 I was offered a full-time position at Northwestern State University as Assistant Archivist, which I held for four years. In 2018 I earned my Academy of Certified Archivists certification, and was elected Vice President of the Louisiana Archives and Manuscript Association in 2019. In 2020 I became President as a matter of course. As of December 2021, I work as the Archives and Collections Manager at the Stepping Stones Foundation.
