When you ask an Accountant, 'Why did you become an Accountant?', many will not know how to answer this question. For me, the same rang true as I began to write this summary. Why did I become an Accountant? Well...after leaving high school I enrolled in a business course and after completing the first few subjects in Accounting I realised I was actually good at it. So a career path in Accounting is what I have pursued. I have been an Accountant (and Assistant Manager since 2008) at Ulton Chartered Accountants, Business Advisors and Financial Planners for over 21 years so it seems as though I have always been an Accountant.Over the years at Ulton I have worked with many clients, in many industries and at various levels of business financial understanding. I have gained many wonderful relationships with my clients, many of whom have been loyal clients for the past 21 years. Some of my clients today say to me that they 'only want to deal with me' and to me this is the highest compliment I can receive. I believe I have earned their trust, through hard work and dedication and a desire to always ensure our clients business/financial successes are achieved.I am a quiet achiever, with a 'get on with the job' and down to earth' demeanour. No request from my clients is too big or too small.
