HMLR required some help to develop their in house Product Managers, many of whom had moved from internal operations positions.

This role involved working with teams to do the groundwork that happened before, during and after digital projects. By using coaching techniques and modelling outcome based ways of working we built in-house capability for our clients and helped them focus on the things that added most value to them and their users.Particular highlights were working with the Product Manager and Service Manager responsible for Additional Payments for Teaching in the Department for Education and working with Barnsley Metropolitan District Council with their internal Product Manager and team developing their capability during their Local Digital Funded, Income Management System product discovery. https://localgovims.digital/

The Service Owner programme* aims to equip people newly appointed to the Service Owner** role within Government departments with the basic knowledge, network and confidence to take the lead in transforming digital services. I bring a diverse group of people in the role together with a wide variety of specialist speakers to curate an event which gives each participant what they need given their current challenges and experience. *Name changed from Service Manager Programme in July 2017**The Service Owner is a role specific to UK government. This role is accountable for the quality of the service, product ownership, having a lifecycle perspective, user focus and strategic ownership.
