Oversee statewide training, technical assistance, and communication for School Nutrition Unit in the Colorado Department of Education.

• Cultivated and sustained long-standing partnership with two national nonprofit associations, National Association of Chronic Disease Directors and the Directors of Health Promotion and Education, to provide training, technical assistance and leadership to state health and education agency teams representing each organization’s constituencies charged with implementing healthy school initiatives across the nation• Led the creation of the National Stakeholders Collaborative, a partnership with the Alliance of State & Territorial AIDS Directors, National Coalition of STD Directors, and Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs that provided training and technical assistance to state teams representing each organization’s constituencies to promote integration of HIV, STD, and unintended teen pregnancy prevention in school age youth• Coordinated Friends of School Health (FOSH), a coalition of 60 national health and education associations dedicated to promoting healthy outcomes for youth through effective school health programs• Presented oral and written testimony on the importance of school health programs to the U.S. House of Representatives Appropriations Sub-committee for Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education• Implemented FOSH activities, including Congressional briefings, creation of advocacy materials, facilitation of meetings, and advocacy initiatives • Supervised and worked with staff project directors to implement programmatic activities outlined in multiple school health cooperative agreements with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention • Provided national leadership and direction for school health, health education, and physical education, through participation in national trainings, advisory boards, professional associations• Oversaw direction of professional development activities and member communications initiatives

• Coordinated comprehensive student advisement services to include admissions, petitions, major selection, course planning, and ensuring student compliance with University/College academic requirements• Provided training and ongoing continuing education for professional advisors in the College• Created and maintained the computer degree audit system for the College degree plans: Exercise and Sport Sciences, Health Sciences Education, and Recreation, Parks and Tourism• Served on the College of Health and Human Performance Student Affairs/Petitions Committee and the Campus HIV/AIDS Education and Policy Committee
